Allison Bryant, MD, MPH
Dr. Allison Bryant is a maternal-fetal medicine specialist and health equity leader who serves as Associate Chief Health Equity Officer for Mass General Brigham. In that role, and earlier as MGB’s Senior Medical Director for Health Equity and as Vice Chair of Quality, Equity and Safety in MGH obstetrics, she has worked to embed equity into how the system measures and delivers care and to reduce disparities in maternal health. She continues to practice, caring for women with high-risk pregnancies, and holds the Frederic D. Frigoletto Endowed Chair in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Her influence extends well beyond the hospital. She chairs the Massachusetts Maternal Mortality and Morbidity Review Committee, which reviews maternal deaths statewide and informs policy, and she has served on state legislative commissions, public health department advisory committees, and the Massachusetts Health & Hospital Association’s standing committee on equity, as well as MGB’s Artificial Intelligence Governance Committee. Earlier in her career, she held faculty and attending roles at the University of California, San Francisco, working in public hospital and community settings before returning to Boston. With a career spanning clinical care, quality and safety leadership, and health policy, Dr. Bryant brings experience in health equity strategy, clinical governance, and the stakeholder engagement needed to translate commitments into measurable change.
